When Can I Drive?

You may travel in a car for short trips but do not drive until we tell you it is OK.

 

I had surgery on my back, when can I bend?
Bending at the knees is okay but you should not bend at the waist.

 

How should I modify my activity after surgery?

You can do most of your typical daily activities. It is highly recommended to take walks after surgery. It is okay to climb stairs. Avoid lifting objects that weigh over 5 pounds. Avoid yard work, housework, or other aggressive physical activity.
